Animals in the Library

We welcome certified disability assist dogs in our libraries (with appropriate identification).

Disability assist dogs are certified service dogs that have been specially trained, or are being trained, to help tāngata whaikaha/disabled people and enable them to be as independent as possible.

Other animals are only permitted onsite by prior arrangement as part of a planned event or programme.
