Book Groups

Do you enjoy reading and talking about books?

Our book groups are a chance for you to share what you've been reading with other members of the group, be inspired, and discover some fabulous new reads.

Adult Book Groups

Richmond Book Group This book group meets in the Constance Barnicoat room on the third Wednesday of every month from 3.00pm to 4.00pm, excluding December.
Motueka Babbling Books This book group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 1.00pm, excluding December and January.
Tākaka Silverfish

This book group meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 1.00pm, excluding December and January.

Teen Book Groups

Richmond Between the Lines

Young adults Years 9-13 are invited to join us for books, banter and snacks in the library. We'll chat about what we are reading, life and everything in between. Free.

Second Thursday of the month (during term time), from 3.30 - 4.30pm

ATLAS Tween Book Club

Love talking about books with friends?

Join us at ATLAS (AThe Library After School) tween book club where years 7 & 8 can share what they are reading, get first pick of new library books and challenge ourselves by choosing a different theme to read about each month.  

Bring along a friend if you like and enjoy some snacks while talking about amazing books!

Tākaka Popcorn Turtles, for children in years 6-9 This book group meets once a month at 3.30pm during term time. 2023 dates to be confirmed. Contact nerissa.cottle@tasman.govt.nz for more information.
