Youth Week is a nationwide festival of events organised by young New Zealanders to celebrate the talents, passion, and achievements of rangatahi. This year’s theme was: ‘We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.’
To celebrate our rangatahi we decided to create an event for them. Our goal was to encourage teens to work together, and to have fun! This is where the idea of an Escape Room came in.

Mission: Rogue Agent.
Eighty teens across our district got together in teams of four to work together using many different strategies to work out who had infiltrated the security of The Department of Intelligence. It wasn’t an easy task and teams had to work together solving cryptic clues while racing the clock to succeed their mission.
Congratulations to all the teams who managed to identify the double agent. The library team was impressed by the level of engagement and have decided to continue to hold events like this very soon.
