Requesting an Item

If you find an item you want, you can have it put aside so you can collect it later.

Requesting an item that is on the shelf ensures you get to take the item out next.

If the item is on loan, you will be added to the list of people who are waiting. If more than one person has requested an item, new requests are added to the queue.

Requesting an item is sometimes called placing a hold.

You can place a hold in one of three ways:

  1. Phone us and we can place a hold for you.
  2. You can place a hold online with your library card number and a Password / PIN. If you can't remember your PIN, or don't have one, please contact your local library.
  3. Ask us at the desk when you're in the library.

Requested items can be sent to your local library for you to collect.
