There are three age categories: ages 5-6, ages 7-8, and ages 9-10.

Book Buddy entries must be back to the Motueka Library by Monday 9 October. Winners will be announced on Tuesday 10 October.

Richmond Library hosting at Washbourn Gardens: I Spy... at Washbourn Gardens 

Some native birds will be hiding at Washbourn Gardens – fantails, kererū, tūī and more.

How many pictures of the native birds can you spot? 

Come join us at the gardens for some fun bird-spotting.

A perfect holiday activity for children of all ages and their whānau.

Claire Webster, an Education & Partnerships Officer from Tasman District Council, will join us to talk about a special taonga, our native wildlife in Aotearoa.

Come along and learn something, have some fun and celebrate New Zealand Wildlife!

All ages are welcome.  Free to attend.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. It is known for its benefits in creating independent and creative thinking.

Join us to celebrate this beautiful new children's book written by Linda Jane Keegan with illustrations by Isobel Joy Te Aho-White.

Linda Jane will read "Stranded", a story about upokohue/ pilot whales finding themselves in trouble and the people who turn up to help them. 

"Stranded" is based on the mass pilot whale stranding at Farewell Spit in February 2021. Joining Linda Jane will be a special guest from Project Jonah.  

All ages are welcome to join us and enjoy a fun activity.

Books are available for purchase: $22.00. Cash only please.
