Welcome Back
Wednesday 20 May 2020
Library staff were very happy to be able to reopen our libraries this week. While we continued to work from home throughout the lock down, and kept in touch with many of you via email or over the phone, it's great to see you back in our libraries again.
While you were away we renewed all the items that were issued prior to lock down. They are not due back until 30 June 2020, so you have plenty of time to return them to us.
We've made a few other changes in the last couple of weeks, we now have:
- a new Book a Book takeaway service, and a home delivery service for vulnerable people;
- pay-wave, so you don't need to touch the eftpos machine;
- perspex hygiene screens on our customer service desks.
There are a few temporary changes as well. The libraries are only open weekdays from 10.00am -4.00pm. From 10.00am-11.00am priority in the queue is given to vulnerable people such as those over 70. Libraries are currently required to keep a contact tracing register as well, so bring your library card with you to make the process quicker.
