Have a Go at Quilting

Tuesday 29 March 2016

Have you always wanted to have a go at quilting but just never had the time? Maybe you thought it would be too fiddly or difficult?

It’s time to put those excuses aside because Waimea Quilting Group and Richmond Library have joined forces to provide you with a great opportunity to try this popular craft for free.

Waimea Quilting Group member Bev Richardson says, “It’s wonderful to be able to make something beautiful and useful with your own hands. Quilting is something that anyone can try and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never used a sewing machine before – we’ll show you how to do that.”

Everyone is welcome to have a go – men, women, young and old. All materials are provided and it is free.

Quilting with the Waimea Quilting Group is from 10am to 12pm on Saturday 2 April and Saturday 16 April in the Constance Barnicoat Room at Richmond Library. Come along to either or both sessions.
